Summer Fun

I can't believe the summer is half over! It has been packed full of out of town baseball trips, weddings, family visits, the beach and fun in the sun.
Peyton is now 14 months old and growing so fast. It has been so fun watching him learn new things like saying light, bite, uh oh and so much more. We are continuing to teach him sign language and he understands simple instructions like 'get a book' and 'take it to daddy.' It just blows me away how much information he just soaks up.
We went to Daytona to visit some family and Peyton loved it! He dug in the sand and played in the waves and just had so much fun. He carried around this red shovel that he found and was so upset when it started to get away in the waves. I rescued it and all was well.
I know we have done so much more I am just having a hard time recalling everything Peyton does. I need to update this more often because I forget about everything that has happened in between.

cake face

One Year...We made it!

Peyton is now one and more fun than ever! He knows how to make us laugh and does it all the time.
We had a party with family and friends and he loved being the center of attention. He entertained us pushing around the wonderful truck his friends, Mason and Cole, gave him and lit up when he saw his Elmo chair. I made him a little cake in the shape of a baseball and by the time he was done with it you would have never known. He destroyed it! It was fun watching him dig into it and smear it all over himself and even share it with everyone that was near. Now, we know he didn't get the "sharing food quality" from his daddy. :o) Thank you all for investing in our little boy and sharing your love for him on his special day. It is because of all of you that we have made it past this milestone and continue on this amazing journey of parenthood.
He is now walking, well running everywhere and keeps us on our toes all the time. He says words like ball, dog, nana, meme, mama, dada, du=duck. He loves being outside, getting in the sprinklers, following dada around, sitting in his tent, and digging in the dirt. He finally loves to drink milk and his favorite snack is Cheerios. Peyton loves to wrestle around on the floor with his dada and does whatever he can to keep your eyes on him. He is definitely a stubborn boy and doesn't always like to listen when we tell him not to touch, but he is smart and knows when he is disobeying.
Oh! I almost forgot a big event...Peyton chipped one of his front teeth. He was walking around the golf cart when we were at our last ARC baseball game and he tripped. He hit his tooth on the edge and it just broke and crumbled. We went to the dentist and she filed it a little to make it not so sharp. He looks like a snaggle tooth but we just say it gives him more personality, as if he needed more. I am just glad that was all he hurt and he was a trooper. He cried maybe a minute and then was done.
I wish I had more time to do this more often because it is hard to update you all from the last blog. The biggest thing was his birthday and I hope the pictures can take you there.
